neurons on GFET chip

Correlative microscopy for multiphysics sensing within neuron networks

Understanding evolution and how subcellular events influence complex neuronal networks remains a key challenge in neuroscience. This work introduces a method to simultaneously probe electrical activity at micro- and macroscale levels. The study offers new insights into neural dynamics, first by interfacing neurons with graphene field-effect transistors, then by coupling complementary techniques such as calcium imaging and electrical recordings. This correlative approach holds promise for exploring complex biological systems and bridging nanoscale and mesoscale activities.

The defense will be in english.
