The first OLIMPICS school in Vercors !
The first OLIMPICS autumn school took place from the12th to 15th of October 2025 in a magnificent setting. The participants, PhD students and postdocs, and most of the lecturers settled in Zecamp, a charming resort in Corrençon en Vercors.
The program started with two conferences on gender bias and stress management. Then, lectures were given about:
- Thermodynamics of biomolecules (A. Buhot - Symmes/CEA-CNRS; H. Guillou - I. Néel/CNRS-UGA)
- Biomaterials (E. Migliorini - Biosanté/CEA-CNRS)
- Neurophysics (C. Delacour - I. Néel/CNRS; M. Canepari - LIPhy/CNRS-UGA-INSERM)
- Plant biophysics (P. Marmottant - LIPhy/CNRS-UGA)
- Active matter and collective movements (A. Dupont - LIPhy/CNRS-UGA; P. Peyla - LIPhy/CNRS-UGA)
- Microbiology and pathogens identification (P. Marcoux - Leti/CEA)
- Biomechanics (F. Quaine - Gipsa-lab/CNRS-UGA).
In addition, several sessions of numeric practicals took place as an introduction to good practices in open, reproducible, and collaborative science.
Last but not least, we had some free time to enjoy the natural surroundings, and two outdoor activities were offered: initiation to biathlon and introduction to mushroom identification.
